About the office

For the first ten years we provide our services as UNI-EXPERT Sp. z o.o. – Team of Legal and Economic Consultants of the University of Warsaw, established by a group of academic workers of the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw, attorneys-at-law and legal advisers, and from the Faculty of Economic Sciences of the University of Warsaw. Due to the change in the statutory requirements on practicing the profession of an advocate and legal adviser, lawyers from „UNI-EXPERT” Sp. z o.o. established a separate team as a Law Office with the status of a limited partnership, then transformed into the Marcin Piontek Law Office.

Presently our office specializes:

• in legal assistance in the field of commercial and civil law for corporate entities and natural persons, – in commercial arbitration and in resolving investment disputes,
• in association law,
• in related areas, including employment relationships and providing of services abroad.
  We also offer our legal services in the firld of use of broadly understood EU law.

As a part of our pro bono activities, we support, among others:

The National Center for Fatherhood, whose statutory goals are, among others:

• fight against pathologies of family life;
• fight against treating children by family judiciary and state offices as the property of only one parent, what means separating fathers from children at the stage of divorce process;
• supporting the efforts of fathers deprived of children by family courts to restore equal treatment as a rightful parent, who has the same right to upbringing a child as the mother;
• acting for the equal rights of fathers in family courts, family diagnostic and consultation centers and state offices;
• fight for equal rights of the child both to the mother and to the father.

ARSENAŁ an association of enthusiasts of the history of the old Polish troops, that cultivates the traditions of old weapons and colors, and in particular of selected branches of the Republic of Poland from 1717-1831.

It’s main goals are:

• civic education;
• cultivating the traditions of the formation of Polish troops;
• promoting national history and traditions;
• deepening general and specialist historical knowledge.

Since the establishment of UNI-EXPERT, we have supported with our services well-known domestic and international production, service and insurance companies based in Poland or investing in Poland. For four years we have been the official legal advisor to the Highway Construction and Operation Agency and for many years an advisor to PIHZ (Polish Foreign Trade Chamber).

Our claims for compensation for losses suffered by a number of large Polish companies as a result of the “Gulf War” in correspondence with the MHZiGM have been officially recognized by the UN Compensation Commission as “exemplary” on an international scale.

In various periods of our organized presence on the legal services market, we participated in the creation of investment funds and open pension funds in Poland as well as a number of large investment projects in other sectors of the economy. We created analytical and implementation reports on the adaptation of Polish law to the law of the European Union in the field of banking law, foreign exchange law, securities law, customs law and free movement of goods, energy law, telecommunications law, aviation law, as well as competition in banking and transport. We participated in the implementation of a number of programs financed from the structural funds of the European Union.
